Forza Horizon 4 - BASICS

Trophy guide - Page 1

This chapter contains a summary of all of the achievements available in Forza Horizon 4. Achievements can be unlocked on both Xbox One and PC (with Windows 10) versions. Thanks to Xbox Play Anywhere support, you can acquire achievements for a single account simultaneously, playing on the console and on the computer.

Additional notes related to achievements:
1. Acquiring achievements is also possible for Game Pass subscribers (14-day trial or long-term subscription). Owning a physical copy of the game is not mandatory.
2. Some of the achievements might be unlocked with a slight delay. This can be due to, i.e. problems with overloaded servers. If you have performed all of the steps for a given achievement presented in the following guide and you did not get it, you do not need to repeat the whole process. Continue playing the game and wait for a message about the unlocked achievement. The delay in achievement unlocking can take from few minutes to several days (in extreme cases).
3. A large portion of achievements becomes available only after completing a long introduction to the game, specifically by qualifying to the Horizon Roster. It is worth focusing on getting the qualification during the first playthrough of the game (depending on how well you are doing and how you play, it can take up to several hours).

Accomplished Driver

Gamerscore points: 10

How to unlock: You need to advance to level 20.

Commentary: One of the easiest achievements in Forza Horizon 4. You advance to higher levels as you acquire more Influence Points. Those can be acquired by, for instance, winning races, taking part in challenges or by building up your collection of cars. You should achieve level 20 within the first few hours of the game.

An Illustrious Career

Gamerscore points: 20

How to unlock: You need to complete 40 different Horizon Story Chapters.

Commentary: Horizon Story Chapters are special missions that can be started at designated places on the map. They are part of the Drift Club, LaRacer@Horizon, Stun Driver and World's Fastest Rentals. In each of those missions you will be controlling a pre-assigned vehicle and you need to complete a mission's objectives (i.e. reaching the destination before the time runs out, making a jump for a specific distance or collecting the required number of points for stunts). There is a total of 40 missions, meaning that you need to complete each one of them at least once. Note that you do not need to acquire 3 stars to unlock the achievement.

Antique Restorer

Gamerscore points: 20

How to unlock: You need to find and renovate 15 Barn Finds.

Commentary: Barn Finds is one of the categories of secrets in Forza Horizon 4. Those are discovered in the same way as in the previous installments of the franchise. You must wait until you get the information with the approximate location of the forgotten car. Reach the purple area on the map and start examining it - the drone will be perfect for this. Find the garage with the wreck and drive to it. The car will not be immediately added to your collection - you must wait until it is renovated. You will receive a new message when its renovation is finished. Once it happens, return to your home or get to Horizon headquarters and collect it in the forgotten cars menu. To unlock this achievement, you need to find and renovate all 15 Barn Finds. The game should unlock tips concerning next Barn Finds at regular intervals. In the meantime, advance to higher levels and accumulate Influence Points

Apex Predator

Gamerscore points: 10

How to unlock: You need to reach Speed Zone Hero level 10.

Commentary: Speed Zone Hero is a title acquired as a reward for breaking records of average speed on tracks. Try to get the best possible results to get 3 stars and advance to higher levels quicker. At the time of promotion to a new level, several new measurement zones are added to the world map, but you can also look for them on your own.

At One with the Car

Gamerscore points: 10

How to unlock: Apply every Car Mastery available for a single car.

Commentary: Car Masteries are abilities that can be unlocked in the game. There are separate abilities for each owned car and you can access them in the pause menu. You need to unlock all of the Car Masteries for a single chosen car. Keep in mind that some of the vehicles (especially the Common ones) have less Car Masteries to unlock, allowing you to unlock the achievement easier. Unfortunately, even then you will need to spend about 40 points to unlock all of the Car Masteries.

Auto Barn

Gamerscore points: 10

How to unlock: You need to find and renovate your first Bard Find.

Once it happens, return to your home or get to Horizon headquarters and collect it from the forgotten cars menu. To unlock this achievement, you need to find and renovate only 1 of the 15 Barn Finds hidden in the game.

Bouncy Bouncy, Having Such a Good Time!

Gamerscore points: 20

How to unlock: Reach Round 10 in the Horizon Cross Country Series.

Commentary: The Cross Country Series is one of the competition categories available in the game. As you complete more races from this group, you will acquire Influence Points and advance to subsequent rounds. There is a lot of freedom here - you can take part in the newly unlocked races or repeat the old ones. Additionally, you do not need to win those races - finishing at a lower position will simply get you fewer points.

Certified Adventurer

Gamerscore points: 20

How to unlock: Qualify for a League in Ranked Team Adventure.

Commentary: This is a multiplayer-only achievement - you cannot unlock it while playing alone or in offline mode! You can join a Team Adventure game from the pause menu. At the beginning you will only have access to Unranked Team Adventure - access to Ranked Team Adventure will be unlocked after reaching level 3. Join ranked games from the moment you receive access to this mode and continue playing until you get a qualification for the league ranking.

Colossus of Roads

Gamerscore points: 20

How to unlock: Reach Round 10 in the Horizon Road Racing Series.

Commentary: The Road Racing Series is one of the competition categories available in the game. As you complete more races from this group, you will acquire Influence Points and advance to subsequent rounds. There is a lot of freedom here - you can take part in the newly unlocked races or repeat the old ones. Additionally, you do not need to win those races - finishing at a lower position will simply get you fewer points.

Coronation' Tricks

Gamerscore points: 20

How to unlock: Accumulate a Skill Chain of 195,300 or more points.

Commentary: In order to unlock this achievement, you should choose a faster car (class A or higher) that is good for off-road driving. When you are travelling quickly through the roads, you can acquire combination points for jumps, drifting, fast riding or destroying smaller elements of the environment. Avoid larger trees and rocks. If you need to extend the combination, you can help yourself by, i.e. drifting while using the handbrake. Another method to easily acquire this achievement is to use a car designated for drift. You can then visit a remote location (like an airport) and accumulate points with longer drifts, combined with demolishing destructible objects.

Crowning Achievement

Gamerscore points: 20

How to unlock: Purchase a castle.

Commentary: This achievement is associated with the possibility of purchasing properties in Forza Horizon 4. There are two castles in the game. Bamburgh Castle costs 10 million credits and Edinburgh Castle costs 15 million credits. Try not to spend money on cars and their upgrades. Acquire the funds gradually to be able to afford one of those two castles.
